Endowment Campaign

The key to long-term financial stability at Texas Hillel, one of the largest Jewish student centers in the country, is our endowment campaign.

Securing a minimum $5 million dollar endowment will provide sufficient operating dollars to allow Texas Hillel to continue its important work and grow at a reasonable pace.

A Brief History
The renaissance at Texas Hillel began in 1998, and part of the corresponding comprehensive development plan outlined in that document was “the establishment of an endowment fund to ensure the future and long term fiscal stability of both program and facility operations.”

Solicitation of pledges for the Capital Campaign continued successfully throughout 2004 and 2005, concluding with the construction of the new Hillel building known as the Topfer Center for Jewish Life located in the Annie and Abe Seibel Building, which was formally dedicated in February 2006.

Create a Legacy
Our endowment campaign directly supports the mission of Texas Hillel by creating long-term stability. Your gift continues to support the institution’s activities, events and programs. As Texas Hillel is the last stop on a young Jewish person’s road to adulthood, it is also the last organized “touch” before they shed the comforts of home and enter the “real world.” For that reason, just as the first years of Jewish education are crucial in helping to lay the foundation for a child’s Jewish identity, so too are the efforts of Texas Hillel in preparing future Jewish communal leaders through our award-winning programs and initiatives that teach Jewish values while bringing young people together in their home away from home.
