How can we summarize Texas Hillel? We measure success by the meaningful interactions that we create every day, by the warm feeling of knowing that we have made a difference in a student’s life and by the smiles that cross our threshold looking for companionship, relaxation, and inspiration.
Ours is a labor of love whose harvest we cannot possible reap until long after the students who find their home here have graduated. We’ll know the real impact that we’ve had when these young men and women leave school and continue their activism and Jewish involvement in other venues. We are cultivating tomorrow’s communal leadership for the benefit of Jewish communities everywhere. We are their bridge between adolescent and independent affiliation, serving the largest concentration of Jewish college students in a region that includes 19 states.
