Texans for Israel
Texans for Israel (TFI) is our community for Israel engagement, education and advocacy. Twice recognized as the best student activist organization at UT, TFI serves as a gathering place for students who share an interest in Israel and a strong, mutually-beneficial, U.S.-Israel relationship. Since its establishment in 1991, TFI has been a force on campus, helping people exchange ideas, share experiences, and learn about and educate others on Israel’s people, politics, and culture.
The university campus can be an unfriendly environment for Israel supporters from across the political spectrum.  TFI is here to help every student feel comfortable expressing a love for the Jewish and democratic State of Israel. Through regular conversations, learning and celebration we raise tough questions and stand proudly for Israel’s right to exist!
TFI hosts guest speakers and Israel advocacy programs, as well as Israeli cultural events such as movie nights and Israel’s IndepenDANCE. Additionally, TFI sponsors pro-Israel lobbying, brings elected officials to campus, tables on the west mall to inform the UT community about Israel, and holds large rallies in support of Israel.
