Parents
Dear Parents:
College is an exciting time for students and parents. It is a chance for young people to explore who they are and what they hope to do with the rest of their lives. At Texas Hillel we aim to help them discover not just what they want to do, but what kind of people they want to be. Through our diverse community and strong one-on-one engagement we nurture students along their paths to making an enduring commitment to Jewish life.
Your son or daughter may be a Hillel regular or only come by for an occasional Shabbat or Holy Day celebration. Or we may never see him or her at a formal function but are able to reach out through personal contacts with one of our many student-interest groups on campus. However great or small may be the connection, we are here for every student.
Since coming to Texas Hillel in January 2006 I have gotten to know many people. It is a joy to watch them mature and explore and an honor to accompany them for part of their journey. Our staff is only able to do what we do because there are many people who share our vision of a dynamic Jewish presence here, and I hope that you will join us by generously supporting our Friends of Texas Hillel campaign and encouraging others to do the same.
Thank you for your interest in what we do, and for allowing our family to become part of yours!
Warmly,
Rabbi David Komerofsky, Executive Director
